Review of An American in Paris (1951) by Jessica M — 11 Feb 2008
This movies was interesting from the perspective of dating and gender relations. It's amusing to see how much has changed since 1951...and at the same time, how much (at times unfortunately) hasn't.
Still, by the end, when two 30 year olds were competing for the affections of a teenager, I started to hope that no one got the girl. That, and no matter how hard I try, I just can't do musicals, though I really did like the number in the beginning when the French guy is telling the other guys about his girlfriend.
