Review of An American in Paris (1951) by Min K — 29 May 2008
Beyond the amazing dance sequence at the end, I had a hard time understanding why this movie won Best Picture of "Streetcar Named Desire" in 1959. This is basically a song & dance film with plot sloppily splashed in between.
Still, you just can't turn your eyes away from Gene Kelly when he starts to move! Amazing.
