Review of An American in Paris (1951) by Lucas Y — 14 Oct 2008
So-called artists who spout profound statements that they overheard. Brilliant quote. Gene Kelly is naturally astonishing in this classic musical. Minnelli knows his musical genre well. Still, it owes a lot to The Red Shoes and I much prefer Singin' in the Rain.
