Review of An American in Paris (1951) by Citizen P — 23 Jun 2009
Films today don't usually play with color as much as these older films did, I guess in an attempt not to be flashy, but I love great use of color in films, and this one is exceptional. A beautiful musical with some great renditions of Gershwin classics. A nice film to watch after seeing Singin' In The Rain.
Great sets, and Gene Kelly is fantastically charming, as always.
