Review of An American in Paris (1951) by Eliza M — 23 Jun 2009
Most musicals from this era and of this style bore me out of my skull and seem like a waste of talent on a cheesy project. But "Paris" is an exception. As ususual, Gene is dreamy. Leslie is great.
Oscar Levant, musical genius, is the best part. So this one is definitely worth seeing. And of course, you must see Singin' in the Rain which is wayy better than this one.
