Review of An American Hippie in Israel (1972) by Michael H — 27 Aug 2013
Oh, the irony: railing against machinery while eating out of tin cans. Deliberate irony, I believe. The movie starts off looking like a fabulous hippie trip but gradually begins to show the underlying hypocrisy and essential brutality of the characters when they meet with adversity.
Not very subtle, obviously low budget, and sometimes very peculiar. But interesting for what it attempts.
