Review of An American Haunting (2005) by Siarra F — 21 Apr 2009
The very worst thing to do is to treat this as a horror film, because it isn't. It's not the least bit scary but it's not actually even trying to be so (the PG-13 rating should be a big clue even for thickest gorn-seeking blunder).
The film makes for an interesting charcter study, and if it wasn't for the painful anachronisms all over the place, it might well be taken for an entertaining M. Night Shyamalan period piece.
