Review of An American Haunting (2005) by Matt W — 19 Feb 2012
There's moments where it's truly creepy & although the story (once you understand it), is very good , it's not explained very well at all and is only finally revealed in the very end of a slow moving film .
The eye of the entity is interesting at first, but the same old camera work gets old quick & starts to become nauseas, & the wolf & the little girl aren't very well explained symbols. The acting is great, the story (that's there) is great, the rare scary scenes are creepy, but everything else needed much work.
My favorite thing about this film is that it feels very different compared to other horrors, almost as if it has heart. Worth a look.
