Review of An American Crime (2007) by Veronika V — 15 Jan 2009

Just tried to watch this movie. I love Ellen Page, and usually think Catherine Keener is great, but this was a really stupid movie with really stupid, cruel people. Basically a woman tortures this girl while her kids watch, and then, the kids bring their friends over so they can torture her too.

I know it's based on a true story, but it seemed so completely over the top, or, if it was accurate, I want to stay the hell away from this town because these are some of the dumbed, white trashiest, cruelest people on the planet.
