Review of An Affair to Remember (1957) by Jakki J — 23 May 2011
I thought this was a great romantic film. Although plenty of melodrama, I was surprised by how comedic it was. Grant and Kerr had great chemistry and I enjoyed watching their relationship bloom. The 2nd half of the movie is where the film drags a little, and to be honest, I've never completely understood stubborn pride when it comes to love, but that's the reason it fascinates me at the same time.
I was glad the ending had a great pay off, which could have made the difference in how much I actually liked the film.
