Review of An Affair to Remember (1957) by Marcus G — 23 Oct 2012
Cupid shoots his arrow into these two unaware vicims on a cruise liner. Bittersweet romance or "affair" blossoms between these two, one a famous painter and the other a professional singer.
But wait, each have their own romantic entaglements. They are on a cruise where each must avoid the other to avoid the publicity on board. Everyone on the cruise is aware of Mr. Grant as the celebrity and follow his every move.
When he falls for Ms. Kerr, well lets just say it is less than a smooth begining, but she slowly comes round to his romancing.
Suggest this to the crowd that thinks even a womanizer can't get smitten.
Watch this to the end, because most of the beginning is fluff and silliness. The second half is well worth the wait.
