Review of Amy (2015) by Private U — 13 Jul 2015
The footage compiled from a range of sources make this an intimate study of a young women who burst on to the scene like something from another time. A classic, and tragic, tale of of it all happening too fast, too young, with seemingly no one to help her navigate sudden fame.
This is a great movie, providing real insight, but also shows up fractured lives and families under the spotlight. Some big gaps here too, especially in the final part of her life, but a great movie nonetheless.
