A heart-breaking account of what can happen when someone is put under a microscope. "Amy" serves as a great "Rise and Fall" story to an artist taken from the world far too soon. It's hard to not feel sad for someone with such talent and humble beginnings become a punchline until she dies.
This documentary does more than just honor the incredibly short life of Amy Winehouse, she's viewed as something the media found foreign, a human being.
