Review of Amy (2015) by Riff J — 10 Apr 2016
Really well done. It's an emotional rollercoaster, up an down, happy and sad. You can't help but root for Amy, especially for viewers who didn't know much about her before. The media coverage of her life was polarizing when she was alive, but unfortunately most people who didn't really take the time to sort through the crap were left with the image of a drug addicted screwup.
Thankfully this movie shows a fuller picture of her life and of her true self. Credit to Asif Kapadia for bringing it all together and creating something that's so captivating and nice.
