Review of Amy (2015) by Ryan K — 08 Dec 2015
Amy is truely an amazing film. A shocking and incredible commemorative look at the talented and young Amy Winehouse. This was a brilliant film honoring and remebering the life of a great artist that left so soon.
It was heartbreaking and raw to see so up close into her life and understanding he struggles and battles with becoming a rising star and not knowing how to handle fame. It's really tragic but done so well.
It left me with a lot of emotions. The docmentary really makes you understand who she was and almost as if you were on her journey from a child to her rise in fame and the enevitable downfall. Well put together with great interviews and recordings from herself, friends, bodygaurds, producers, family, boyfriends etc.
Would absolutely recommend to anybody whether you liked her music or not this is an important documentary about fame, addiction, depression and life in the eyes of a beautiful and talented artist.
