Review of Amsterdam (2022) by Cakelyn223 — 16 Oct 2022
A beautiful and eccentric dive into friendship, loyalty, romance, and intrigue. The characters and dialogue are not realistic, yet still evoke and represent real and recognizable things. The whole film is a work of art reminiscent of Wes Anderson, with a noir/mystery overlay.
The relationships are earnest and somewhat childlike, in a good way.
