Review of Amour (2012) by Fernando D — 18 Feb 2013
Michael Haneke's Amour is a movie about the bond between an elderly couple and how they face the greatest challenge of their lives. Amour it's cold and hard to watch, a film that's not for everyone, an intimate slow-moving work of poetry that shows the torments of the old age and how illness effects yourself and your loved ones.
A work that surprises us for such deep tenderness and honesty, while striking us with overwhelming emotional power. Heartbreakingly beautiful!
