Review of Amour (2012) by Russell P — 28 Feb 2013
With a simple plot in a necessary relatively slow pacing, this movie moved me in every ways possible. Maybe for the fact that I could relate with the characters, but maybe because of the true-to-the-heart performances of Riva and Trintignant. Riva's performance at the second half of the movie was overly saddening and Trintignant brought us a good look to the disheartening personality change on his character without removing the core of its character itself.
This movie offers scenes of sadness, loneliness, hopelessness, heartbreak but most of all - a never-ending love, and all of that in their absolute extremes.
