Review of Amour (2012) by Julio P — 18 Apr 2013
Devastatingly realistic and will haunt you long after you've finished watching it. It is that uncomfortable realisation that this will be a story that either happens to yourself, someone you love or most certainly someone you know as time goes on. Great writing, directing and acting. I can certainly see why Emmanuele Riva was nominated and won awards for her truly authentic portrayal of Anne.
The scenes of silence and loneliness of George's got me the most. In some ways you could say he suffered more than Anne. The ending was perfect.
