Review of Amour (2012) by Nhora A — 29 Apr 2013
There are few words to describe Amour. The performances were truly outstanding. The two best performances of the year came from Emmanuelle Riva and Jean-Louis Trintignant. Michael Haneke takes the quiet, at times morose reality of an elderly couple trying to fight through illness and slaps it in our faces with stunning, depressing accuracy.
The best film of the year, by far, and maybe, of the years to come.
