Review of Amour (2012) by Ben L — 14 Jun 2013
Amour is a tremendously heartfelt film. Emmanuelle Riva deserves the global acknowledgment of her performance but that of Jean-Louis Trintignant is arguably more pivotal. Perhaps as a male I could find more empathy in his situation and it is through his eyes that we see this relationship for the most part.
It's a tougher film than I was expecting but it is a rewarding one.
