Review of Amour (2012) by Teo P — 22 Dec 2013
Another one of Haneke's sensationalist films in which he only plays with tension and its relief. Not a cinematic experience in itself but as always, a lesson from someone who considers himself a master/teacher (see his explanation for remaking Funny Games in the US).
It's pretentious and it poses as art film. "Amour" is a "funny games" ashamed of itself, and it should be!
