Review of Amityville II: The Possession (1982) by Mike P — 16 Oct 2008
Provides some back story to the first, but focuses more on a very broken family and somehow, the house amplifies it. The last 40 minutes focus on the priest trying to exorcise Sonny (who killed his family) and the movie heavily borrows from 'The Exorcist' in how the demonic possession appears and is conveyed.
A decent flick for the season (it is October now) but probably best saved for a channel surfing find or a background flick while working on a knitting project (like myself).
