Though it has a very loose connection with Amityville, and is just borrowing elements from previous Amityville films like possessed items (this film features a possessed mirror), the film is surprisingly enjoyable.
This is due to it's strong cast (which I'm surprised that all of these people are in this film) that includes Terry O'Quinn, Julia Nickson, Lin Shaye, Richard Roundtree and David Naughton.
