Review of Amistad (1997) by Pierre G. M — 11 Jan 2008
I love this film for many reasons but mainly for Anthony Hopkins who just captures the movies spirit with a great supporting performance. He brings to life John Quincy Adamsn so easily and he just doesn't even have to try.
A sweet, subtle yet utterly compelling display. One of his most under-rated roles. Great turns from all the other cast members, and also worth mentioning the music from long-time Spielberg composer, the equally great John Williams.
