Review of Amistad (1997) by Mateusz L — 11 Jun 2009
Great movie, with one beautifully staged scene after another. Although the depiction of slavery is disturbing here, it's also a very moving picture. I'm amazed by how both the talking courtroom scenes and the almost dialogueless flashback sequences can create the same emotional response and bring you to tears.
Puts any Grisham adaptation to shame, highly recommened.
