I will admit the first 10 minutes were gory & I had to close my eyes. The remainder of the movie put it into context.
Amazing how this one ship became a pawn in the dispute between the North & the South in the pre-Civil War era.
My favorite part was when Sinque stood up & spoke in English (while in chains) saying, "Giveth us Free!".
