AMERICAN ULTRA sets out to be a fun and exciting stoner-action-romance-comedy and provides us with just that. Eisenberg gives a surprisingly believable performance as a stoner-turned-sleeper agent and Stewart also provided us with a surprisingly likable performance.
The action is exciting and intense, but my main critique is that the jokes did't hit as much as I would have liked them to. Overall, American Ultra is a fun, entertaining, and enjoyable time at the movies.
