Review of American Teen (2008) by Phillip R — 29 Dec 2009
Sure, the film-makers picked pretty stereotypical people to center their documentary around. And sure, a lot of this was probably staged. Still, I found this to be very insightful and entertaining. Despite the stereotypical actions of the teens, this seemed real, and I cared about almost all the characters a great deal.
This will be great to watch in future years for comparison to other generations of American teens. For this reason, I'll keep it around.
