Review of American Sniper (2014) by Simon E — 20 Mar 2017
Gripping and tense from the first few moments, American Sniper recounts the actions of the highly decorated sniper Chris Kyle through his four tours during the iraq war. Taking a step aside from the politics of the war and whether Kyle is a hero or not the film instead potrays realistic scenes of both the battles and the settling back in to civilian life and lets the viewer decide on how they feel about the man.
Cooper and Eastwood are in top form and deliver an engrossing account.
