Review of American Sniper (2014) by Rostek P — 31 May 2015
American Sniper was entertaining but did not touch enough on the PTSD/Negative mental health aspects of War. Yes Chris Kyle was an amazing shot and a great solider, but even his "never quit" attitude could not protect his mental health from War.
Eastwood could have dove much deeper into the head of Chris Kyle, but instead took the easy route and turned the film into a superhero flick instead of sticking to the fact that War is Hell.
