Review of American Sniper (2014) by Mark B — 28 Jul 2015
Some strong scenes and a powerful performance by Bradley Cooper are undercut by surprisingly poor direction and editing in an Clint Eastwood picture. A similar story was done much more deftly in the Hurt Locker.
Not a bad movie per se but it's hard to see this as anything but a disappointment considering the director's track record.
