Review of American Pop (1981) by Eric B — 04 Sep 2008
This movie is a somewhat abstract lesson for young music listners who may not understand some of the influences which drove popular music to develop as it did until 1981. The open-ended nature of the semi-fictional story seems appropriate to describe the continually changing face of the modern pop scene.
Since the scope of the movie may not cover a full spectrum of influences, the story line might be a bit anecdotal, but informative nonetheless.
