Review of American Pie 2 (2001) by Dann M — 03 Aug 2012
The gang returns to service up another slice of American Pie. The story continues as Jim and his friends come home after their first year of college, and proceed to rent a house on the beach for the summer.
For the most part it stays true to the formula of first film, but it does it a lot better. The dialog's sharper, the humor's cleverer, and the characters are more developed. Additionally, the film has strong, poignant messages about relationships.
And, once again the soundtrack is excellently done. American Pie 2 is a fun and hilarious film that's also smart and well written.
