Why did Eugene Levy sign on to this and presumably other "American..." films? No other offers? Basically this film is something of a male fantasy but not that of sensitive males. There is sex depicted in the attempts of high school guys to make it with high school girls (or in one case a student's mother).
Fast Times at Ridgemont High is a far superior film and even that film isn't exactly Shakespeare. There are parts that are watchable but barely so. 3/10.
