Review of American Made (2017) by Eludiumq36 — 16 Mar 2018
Relatively lighthearted treatment of an element of the CIA's exploits in 80's Central America. Tom Cruise gets to fly the fastest twin-engine of the time in a foreshadowing of the 2019 reprisal of his signature role in "Top Gun".
One of the more humorous moments of the film doubles as its best Lessons Learned for criminal exploits: Know When to Stop/Retire. His character, Barry Seal, had so much cash he could no longer hide it anywhere, it was spilling out from closets! But his hubris and "Schafer" pushed him into continuing exploits until it all caught up to him, too bad, good story though.
