Review of American Made (2017) by Jo C — 06 Oct 2017

Chalk this up as one of the most bonkers true stories I've ever seen put to film.

Tom Cruise does a fantastic job of making us like this character who most definitely fits into a gray area of moral acceptance and the film clips along at a pace that keeps things interesting without feeling like a biopic just checking off a list of life events.

I don't know that Doug Liman needed as many different filters and film styles as he seems to throw at us here (did he think this was an instagram film?) but its a rock solid piece of micro-history that will keep you more than entertained.
