Review of American Honey (2016) by Ben J — 14 May 2017
A hypnotic road trip. To his credit, I didn't know it was Shia LaBeouf until the end of the movie. Might be able to blame that on the wine. Sasha Lane gives a very nuanced performance. Ultimately the movie made me feel like I was an observer for a culture and age bracket I'll never understand, and that is the definition of great filmmaking.
