This film had no development throughout the 2 hours and 43 minutes. There were no character arcs, it was a continual repeat of scenes. The one positive aspect of the film was the portrayal of compromised youth that come from backgrounds where there is little hope.
You see the process of how little children become like the characters of the film. Star, the main character has compassion for children she sees as she cared for her mother's children and purchased food for kids that had nothing but Mountain Dew in the fridge.
