A film about the America we are currently living in. Through the guise of a road trip film, we follow a group/family unit of young, poor magazine salesmen as they travel through America and into the heart of America.
The writing and directing (by Andrea Arnold) are fantastic, and the editing (by Joe Bini) is great as well. Sasha Lane and Shia LaBeouf are both great, and put on nuanced performances. Not just a story about youth, but also a story about modern America, American Honey is one sweet film.
