Review of American History X (1998) by Steph S — 27 Dec 2012
A true masterpiece film. It is so heartfelt. The history put into the story of this film was brilliant and really captured a life of someone who can change who they are. The stories of Derek's life in the past before he was sent to jail are done in black in white which made alot of the scenes more dramatic.
Edward norton who plays the main character Derek really shows the true changes in a main, from being a total neo-nazi skinhead to a man who now sees the light and has changed his thought about people of different race.
Jail changed his life when he meets an african american man. Edawrd Furlong who plays Danny, Derek's younger brother, gets taken into the world of 'white power' while his brother is gone away in jail.
This film will change your life and really speak to you on a whole other level. It will move you and may even make you cry.
