Review of American Hardcore (2006) by Scott W — 23 Apr 2008

I thought this doc put hardcore punk through the deflavorizing machine. In the early '80s, this music and scene was so fun, exciting, even revolutionary, but mostly really fun. I found this doc to be a series of poorly edited anecdotes, little footage, but my main complaint is that it didn't capture the exciting tenor of the music and scene.

Also, why not a mention of the Dead Kennedys?!? Seems like a strange band to leave out. Wouldn't the DKs agree to be involved or something?!?!
