Review of American Graffiti (1973) by William M — 12 Sep 2008
I never knew they made Happy Days into a movie...
Really though, this movie does a superb job of capturing the era: The slick classic cars, the spot on sound track, and the entire cast that all fit very well into their characters.
There are some problems though. There's really no sort of rising conflict or plot through the movie, and the ending is a huge unanswered question that doesn't tie up any loose ends.
Hard to accept a movie of this style came from George Lucas and Francis Ford Coppola though.
