Review of American Graffiti (1973) by P. P — 06 Oct 2009
A sweet, sentimental but not too treacly ode to small town life in the 1960s. Prefer "Diner" but American Graffiti would be particularly enjoyable for classic car/pin up afficionados. The production design is colorful and fun and its nostalgic for us oldsters to watch "Ritchie Cunningham" and "Shirley" from Laverne and Shirley (and an unknown Harrison Ford) on the big screen.
Also stars Michelle Phillips before she started poking her arm with heroin and canoodling with her dad (eww).
