Review of American Graffiti (1973) by Natalie M — 17 Aug 2012
A genuine staple for the portrayal of young American culture in the early 1960s. Lucas' direction of the characters of splendid display of the talents he held early on in his career. It features a dynamic blend of characters and how they choose to spend their last night in town together before heading off to college.
The soundtrack is golden and the narrative disc jockey presence of Wolfman Jack is one I highly consider to be a major influence on QT using Stephen Wright in the same form during Reservoir Dogs. This is a purely stylish and bittersweet slice of young life on the big screen.
