Review of American Beauty (1999) by Toto A — 04 Mar 2014
While lost like everyone else in their lives, Lester Burnham finds a reason to alter this course. This is the story of his coming out, of how he regains control of his being and it unravels in a beautiful fashion (the photography is breathtaking).
The way Sam Mendes captures all the different emotions felt by every character is simply extraordinary. A dark and cynical masterpiece.
