American Beauty is an incredibly groundbreaking piece of film. One that picks apart the reality of contemporary American life. Satirizing and posing serious questions about conformity, society and the "rules" that just seem come along with life.
With quirky (yet twisted) characters, brought to life by an excellent cast, American Beauty is one of the best, most unique and thought-provoking films of all time. 5/5 stars.
