Review of America: Imagine the World Without Her (2014) by Carl C — 03 Mar 2015
D'Souza pushes all the emotional "I told you so" and "watch out for them" buttons while attacking the character of any opposing views unaligned with his Conservative thought. He uses unflattering video footage of those he obviously disagrees with, most often than not "they" being Hollywood personalities and extremists rather than actual historians and politicians. It was apparent pretty quickly that this "documentary" is more point, counter-point than it is a tale of "what if." D'Souza works to galvanize the right from the left rather than appeal to the majority centralists.
I had to stop watching about midway though because neither the America he believes in nor the one he rails against seem to be the America the most of us actually live in. I gave it one star because he's good at using slick tactics to emotionally inflame his constituents.
