Review of America: Imagine the World Without Her (2014) by Marc S — 09 Mar 2015
Gotta wonder how many of the folks panning this have ever actually **lived** outside the US.Not visited, not been there on their corporation's dime or the US military's dine. But just moved to another country and tried to live there. Maybe you need that immigrant perspective to understand how different this all looks to someone who hasn't had the benefit of the protections of the US their whole lives.
Technically, not a great film, but it isn't trying to be art. It's trying to share a perspective. To make people think outside themselves a bit and objectively consider the realities that American's miss in their cocooned little world, their Big Brother state.
OTOH if you want to believe America is a BAAAAADDDDD place, nothing anyone says or does will change your mind. ... well not until you destroy your own country and find out what it is like to live without America. Then it will be too late. Then you WILL learn to regret your self indulgent rush to destruction.
As they say, you don't know what you've got 'till it's gone.
