Review of Amen. (2002) by Zarinah H — 07 Feb 2008
A powerful movie centring on complicity and the issues of conscience. A Nazi chemist realises what his involvement has led to -the systematic annihilation of the Jews and tries desperately to inform the world about it.
On the other side, there's a Catholic priest who decides that if he can't bring about a change in the church's passive stance towards the atrocities comitted against the Jews, then he would expereince himself what it means to be a Jew facing death.
Very moving.
